ACIEG, with institutional support from Faciest, is advancing in the structuring of a pioneering ecosystem of blockchain-based business applications. With this, ACIEG becomes the first business entity in Brazil technologically prepared to meet global export and import demands.
The announcement was made by the president of both entities, Rubens Fileti, at FICOMEX 2026, the first international edition of Brazil's largest foreign trade fair, being held in Portugal until June 1st. The business applications contemplated by the ecosystem developed by ACIEG are focused on traceability, information validation, and support for export and import operations.
The project integrates applications developed within the context of the Blockchain Brazil Network (RBB), a permissioned public network founded by BNDES and the Federal Court of Accounts, aimed at developing institutional solutions using blockchain technology, a shared digital database.
Digital Trust
According to ACIEG, the objective is to transform Goiás into a national reference in digital trust infrastructure for the productive sector. “The digital transformation of international trade depends on trust in information. Blockchain is consolidating itself as a strategic infrastructure to guarantee transparency, traceability, and security in global commercial relations,” highlights Rubens Fileti.
The expectation is that the ecosystem will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Brazilian companies in the international market and strengthen their capacity to adapt to new global regulatory requirements.
In addition to being announced at the opening of FICOMEX 2026, the new development was detailed on the second day of the event by the head of Innovation at ACIEG, Renan Santana. The topic was part of the presentation “Connecting strategy, technology and innovation for value generation and international growth,” as part of the Fair's program.
Progress in the process
ACIEG has already held a technical presentation meeting with the governance of the Blockchain Brazil Network and is currently in the process of institutional approval for membership as an associate participant.
Among the applications developed by the entity are solutions focused on:
commodity traceability;
verifiable digital certification;
document validation;
proof of origin;
trust architecture applied to international trade.
The initiative seeks to prepare Brazilian companies to meet new requirements related to compliance and traceability, including international regulations such as the European Anti-Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
In addition to technological development, the project aims to connect trade associations, business federations, and entities from the productive sector of different Brazilian states, forming a collaborative environment for innovation applied to business.
